Four years have passed Mum. A lot has happened and changed. I am sure you have been looking down and keeping an eye out. We still miss you every day. Ronnie talks about you lots as if he knew you. Freddie is a chip off the old block which I am sure you are having a good old laugh about. KARMA!!! Skye is excelling at school in all subjects except PE Ha ha and she is growing up quickly!!! Liam is turning into a little footballing pro and has started scoring goals too!!! Bailey and Murphy are still fine. Loving life and well behaved (most of the time). We all miss you every day and we have been keeping an eye on Dad too. He seems well. Anyway I hope you are enjoying a coffee and a fag, looking down on us all. xxXXxx

Carol, my childhood friend. So many treasured memories of attending the Coronation celebrations in our new dresses, to going to Westfield Junior School together and parking our bikes at your grans house, to joining the Guides and then Sea Rangers. Your lovely mum and dad looking over us when we played in your garden and climbing trees over the fields looking over Rydens Way. Wonderful days and a truly 'best friend' in the 50s. We may have lost touch after we went our separate ways after our marriages but I am so glad we found one another again (thanks to Barry)and I was able to know what a wonderful married life you had and the blessing of children and grandchildren. I remember Carol from Nonington College of P.E. 1965-1968 We were together in our first year in Old Court House and then in lodgings with the gamekeeper in the park for the second year! Carol was great fun to be with and it was good to catch up with her at one or two college reunions I remember that she was a brilliant games player and gymnast . I am very saddened to hear of her death and send my sympathies to her family Joyce Doughty nee Lunn

i first met you on the hockey field playing for Surrey then at Nonington where we lived with the gamekeeper in our 2nd year .oh what fun we had and I hope your life continued in the same way.My thoughts are with your family at this sad time Lexa

Dearest Carol So difficult to think of one memorable moment when there are so many...so many times when we laughed hysterically at our attempts to produce a Dance for Howard, or throwing eggs over West 3, trying to catch them in Lacrosse sticks, or climbing in through windows at OCH, or playing Rugby against Aylesham, or skiing in Chamonix or...... To Granny Carol, We love you so very much. We will always miss you. We remember when we came to Spain and Liam played table tennis and he kept on losing. But now he has been practising lots and will try and beat Grandad John. We also remember when Skye came to line dancing with you and she really enjoyed the dancing and meeting all of your friends. Although we only met a handful of times, they were all memerable ocasions,the most lasting memory will be Si and laura's wedding day.we were all bustling around the house Carol you were so calm you had a huge smile on your face .what joy it was to share that time together.Carol we shall make sure your new grandchild will know what a special lady you were, you shall be apart of their life as surely as if you were still with us. Life is lived as a tale that is told,and each transition is like rose petals pressed between pages of memories for retrieving in the days ahead. with love Paul and Maureen x
